Some groups want to reduce the effectiveness of these measures by gaming the exemption system
The Governor's order does not change the facts!
Virginia SB1303 requires Virginia schools to remain open while applying mitigation strategies recommended by the CDC to the "maximum extent practicable"
The Board made the commitment in it's august vote to follow CDC and VDH guidelines
Current Virginia average is 175 per 100,000. Last year CCPS closed the schools with cases below 50 per 100,000
Schools are already having a tough time to remain open due to COVID related staffing shortages.
Revoking the CCPS mask mandate violates the law!

In recent meetings, there has been talk of banning some books from the CCPS Libraries.
We believe that, while parents have a right and responsibility to police the media consumed by their own children, they do not have the right to deny it of others.
We believe in the cause of equity for all students. We also believe that history should be presented accurately in a way that informs students of where we came from without hiding the mistakes of the past.
CCPS Voted to adopt the Model Policy but we see groups in the county working hard to undermine it's intent.
Help protect these kids!
If we are serious about every child’s future, let’s get serious about doing what works. Giving educators the right to negotiate their contracts works for our students.
