Rally for Every Student
MONDAY, AUGUST 14, 2023 AT 6 PM
10001 Iron Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832, United States
The Governor's new policy puts kids at risk!
The prior policy recognized that 40% of homeless youth are members of the Queer community and that parental rejection is a prevailing cause of that homelessness.
The new policy would force faculty to expose children who are not ready to or afraid to come out to their parents because they may fear that exact fate.
The old policy recognized that 30%-50% of Trans youth attempt suicide and that number is decreased by Gender affirming care.
The new policy would deny or sabotage key pieces of that care in social transition

In recent meetings, there has been talk of banning some books from the CCPS Libraries.
We believe that, while parents have a right and responsibility to police the media consumed by their own children, they do not have the right to deny it of others.
We believe in the cause of equity for all students. We also believe that history should be presented accurately in a way that informs students of where we came from without hiding the mistakes of the past.
